All Keystone Slurry Pumps are designed and manufactured with four Solids Ejection Ports.  The ports allow venting of the seal chamber to reduce the seal pressure to submergence depth pressure only.  The Solids Ejection Ports in conjunction with the Impeller Deflector fling solids away from the HDS Submersible mechanical seal area and promote a continuously flushed seal chamber to extend the submersible motor seal life. The ports also provide an overpressure safeguard as the pump casing can not be over pressurized if a discharge pipe is blocked or a valve is closed.
